Summit of Faith

Summit of Faith

Why am I Catholic?

Learn the answer with us, one short lesson a day, straight from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Bible.

Why the name? The Church calls the Eucharist “the source and summit of the Christian life.” CCC 1324

Today

Monday, October 12

Monday of the 28th Week in Ordinary TimeMonday is for what we believe

Saint of the DayFeast: October 12

St. Carlo Acutis

Born in London in 1991 and raised in Milan, he loved video games, soccer and, above all, the Eucharist. He built a website about Eucharistic miracles and called the Eucharist his “highway to heaven.” He died of leukemia at 15 in 2006 and was canonized in 2025.

Verse of the DayJohn 17:3 · NABRE
“Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”
From the CatechismCCC 1
“God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life.”

In plain words: God didn't need us. He made us because he wanted to share his own happiness with us.

Ask a Question

What have you always wondered?

Send a question about the faith. The best ones become short videos, answered from the Catechism and Scripture.

Questions open when the site launches.

Why I'm Catholic

It started with a question I couldn't answer

Someone once asked me what the core of being Catholic is. I'm Catholic, and I struggled to answer.

So I decided to find out, properly, from the source. Summit of Faith is me learning the Catechism and the Bible one short piece at a time, and sharing each piece as I go. If you've ever been asked a question about your faith and wished you had a better answer, you're in the right place.
